He has held over 30 solo exhibitions in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Austria, Greece, China, Iran, and Kuwait. His works are part of both national and international institutional and private collections. Currently, Tuncay Topcu works as a Pilotage Captain in Tekirdağ and continues his artistic practice in his studio in İzmir.
Topcu reflects the empathy he establishes with the external world onto the canvas with an abstract expressionist approach. Through the ever-changing rhythm of life, his use of color and line evolves moment to moment, taking form in a lyrical expression. His skillful application of rich layers of color, avoiding the risk of muddiness, enhances the visual impact of his work.
Today, the artist continues to work in his studio in İzmir and is regarded as a significant representative of Abstract Expressionism in Contemporary Turkish Painting.
