{"id":2666,"date":"2026-01-21T17:36:50","date_gmt":"2026-01-21T14:36:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/galerimiz.com\/?post_type=sergi&#038;p=2666"},"modified":"2026-01-21T18:08:07","modified_gmt":"2026-01-21T15:08:07","slug":"close-follow-up-a-duologue","status":"publish","type":"sergi","link":"https:\/\/galerimiz.com\/en\/exhibition\/close-follow-up-a-duologue\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Close Follow-Up, A Duologue&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"175\">Galeri \/ Miz is hosting the exhibition<strong> \u201cClose Observation, A Duologue\u201d<\/strong>, curated by <strong>G\u00fcl Ilgaz<\/strong>, featuring works by <strong>Derya \u00dclker<\/strong> and <strong>Emel Ba\u015far\u0131k<\/strong>, from <strong>5 February to 3 April 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"177\" data-end=\"375\">Beyond its literal meaning of a dialogue, \u201cClose Observation, A Duologue\u201d proposes a space where two visual approaches listen to one another and exist side by side\u2014intertwined and in conversation.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"377\" data-end=\"763\">The exhibition brings together two formally similar painting practices through two different viewing distances. While Derya \u00dclker depicts human crowds that resemble living networks, observed from afar and situated in vast outdoor spaces, Emel Ba\u015far\u0131k adopts a more local perspective, focusing on the everyday lives and diverse personalities of the people living in her own neighborhood.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"765\" data-end=\"1001\">\u201cClose observation\u201d is a concept related to looking, tracing, and bearing witness. This exhibition is presented as a space in which the artists closely observe the society they live in, individuals, and each other\u2019s artistic approaches.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1003\" data-end=\"1323\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">The contrast between crowd and individual, anonymous and personal, macro and micro forms the core structure of the exhibition.
