Galeri \/ Miz is hosting the exhibition \u201cYou Are Overthinking\u201d from April 14 to 30, 2026, in collaboration with Memory of Art, creating a collective production space centered around photography.<\/p>\n
Bringing together the works of Beyza Karada\u015f, G\u00f6ktu\u011f Ayd\u0131n, Hilal \u00d6zdemir, Mine G\u00fc\u00e7el, Muhammet T\u00fcrk\u00f6z\u00fc, and Onurcan G\u00fcler, the exhibition takes the idea of \u201cthinking too much\u201d as its point of departure, transforming the self-referential, proliferating, and cyclical nature of thought one that both constructs and dissolves the subject\u2014into a visual and spatial experience.
Focusing on the way one thought calls forth another, where images and memories accumulate and intertwine, the exhibition explores thinking as a process that is at times exhausting yet simultaneously generative, positioning it as one of the most delicate forms of contact with the world. <\/p>\n
Positioned as a response to the everyday warning \u201cyou think too much,\u201d the exhibition resists reducing the world to surface-level interpretations, approaching thinking not as a means of arriving at definitive answers, but as a form of resistance against hasty simplifications.
G\u00fcliz Kayahan\u2019s practice, which opens up a multilayered field of thought through individual experiences shaped around memory, belonging, and emotion, also intersects within the exhibition. The photographs on view are treated not as documents, but as outputs of a state of thinking; coming together within the installation, they form a collective cloud of thought. <\/p>\n
\u201cThis exhibition does not simply think; it overthinks. And in doing so, it becomes the most honest form of relationship we can have with the world.\u201d<\/p>\n
