When the Dust Settles

Belmin Pilevneli’s solo exhibition, “When the Dust Settles”, opening on November 26. Curated by Senem Çağla Bilgin-Keys, the exhibition aims to reveal connotative meanings of existence and to explore its relationship with nature. “When the Dust Settles” draws inspiration from the organic and amorphous shapes of plants, water, and clouds, creating deconstructed compositions that illustrate life cycles. It also blends the continuous transformations of explosions, order, beginnings, and endings with imaginative worlds and poetry. With this exhibition, Pilevneli focuses on similar processes within cycles, suggesting that the chaos experienced by modern humanity can be seen as opportunities for reinstating harmony. In this sense, the forms depicted, along with the materials and colour palette used, emphasize a sense of purification, calmness, and tranquillity.
